The Urban Allied Health Academy promotes greater awareness and experience of cultural diversity through research, cross-disciplinary discussions, and community outreach.
New students are encouraged to take advantage of the unique programs and events sponsored by the Academy listed below. Please see our monthly calendar of events (.pdf) SEMINAR SERIES FILM SERIES What connections exist between healthy bodies, healthy bank accounts and skin color? Follow four individuals from different walks of life to see how their position in society - shaped by social policies and public priorities - affects their health. This episode is the first in a series being shown by the Urban Health Program. The next two episodes, "When the Bough Breaks," and "Becoming American," will be shown on March 18th in the Event Center of James Stukel Tower from 3-5 p.m. We’ll have popcorn and cookies!
