Pre-Admissions Advising

DPT PROGRAM
The UIC Department of Physical Therapy offers group advising seminars for prospective students to hear about prerequisite information, the application process and evaluation criteria. Individual application status information is not available at these sessions. Individual counseling is available at the conclusion of the seminar for those who have attended a seminar. You may bring records of your coursework and a course catalogue for the college you wish to attend for pre-physical therapy coursework. You may also contact our admissions coordinator, Demetra John, at demetra@uic.edu.

Sessions are held in the Applied Health Sciences Building, 1919 W. Taylor, fourth floor, on the first Friday of every month at 1:00 p.m. and on selected Monday evenings at 5:00 p.m. No appointment is required.

Upcoming Monday evening sessions at 5:00 p.m.:
October 19
November 23
December 21

Pre-physical therapy students at UIC are encouraged to attend an advising session in the Department of Physical Therapy. LAS students may also seek advice at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences advising office in University Hall, especially for guidance regarding LAS equivalents for courses taken elsewhere.

Pre-physical therapy students at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign may seek similar advice in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Advising office.
