MS/C: How to Apply

Admission Criteria | Applying to both MS/C & OTD | Application Instructions & Materials

MS/C applicants who are applying simultaneously to the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at UIC need to follow the instructions for that program. While the application requirements are similar, there are several key differences. Students who are applying simultaneously to both programs must complete all of the MS/C materials at http://www.ahs.uic.edu/ot/programs/mscert_apply_materials.php AND:

1. Submit an additional letter of recommendation that specifically addresses the applicant's potential for doctoral study on the OTD form, following the instructions on the OTD section of the website
2. Provide a personal statement that is specific to the OTD (in addition to the MS/C statement)
3. Submit a curriculum vitae (expanded resume), following the instructions in the OTD section of the website
4. Complete the items of the Occupational Therapy Application Form that are labeled "For OTD Applications Only."

All materials for the two programs can be submitted together. The MS/C admissions committee will review materials for that program. If the applicant is accepted, then the documents specific to the OTD program will be forwarded to the OTD admissions committee for consideration.
