CONCENTRATIONS

  • Movement Science
The movement science concentration is intended for students who want a strong academic program focusing on the human body. This degree prepares graduates for the rigors of graduate school and postgraduate professional training in areas such as medicine, research, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and more.
  • Exercise and Fitness
This concentration prepares students for positions as a health and fitness professional in various settings (e.g., fitness centers, hospitals, corporations) and with various populations such as youth, middle-age, older adults, recreational and elite athletes, as well as those with disease or disability. In addition, it may serve as a strong foundation for a career in pharmaceutical or health product sales or work as a laboratory technician/project manager. The exercise and fitness concentration also provides a solid foundation for postgraduate work in physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology and other clinically-related graduate programs: however, additional course work will be required.
