Welcome from Alumni Board Chair, Art Slowinski, MVSC '94
On October 17, UIC Health Information Management (HIM) alumni from around the country gathered at the American Health Information Management Association's annual conference in San Diego. As in the past, Karen Patena, program director organized an HIM alumni reception attended by just over 40 graduates representing years 1972 through 2002. The reception was sponsored by the college, UIC Department of Health Information Management, and HDI Technologies, Inc.
Your alumni board is actively preparing for the next alumni event and we need your feedback. The board is hoping to host a fitness and health day on campus consisting of health related lectures and fitness classes. Before we can move forward we need to find out the topics and classes you are interested in. Some examples include cancer prevention, healthy eating, yoga, and tai chi. Please email ahsalum@uic.edu with your suggestions of both health lectures and fitness classes that you would be interested in.
Have a wonderful holiday season and remember to keep us updated with your good news by emailing ahsalum@uic.edu.
